Crawford County's Last Civil War Veteran Information

Francis R. Shunk, in the Company A, 12th Ohio Volunteer Calvary.

Last veteran buried in Crawford County.

He died on May 17, 1943.  He is buried at the Oakwood Cemetery.

Thomas Michael Ridenour, in the Company K, 182nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry .

Served in Battles of Franklin, Nashville, Lookout Mountain, Mission Ridge,

Chickamauga, served with Sherman in the March from Atlanta to the sea.

He died on February 04, 1946. He is buried at the New Bethany Cemetery.
